Students in S1 have one period of drama per week and the curriculum is designed to give them a wide range of fun experiences in both practical and theoretical areas, whilst learning the key acting skills and terms.
Students will work together to produce short scenes and plays, will practice their still image and mime skills, and will consider set design and costume.
Students will also study elements of Shakespearean tragedy and comedy, focusing on language, plot and character. They will also study and produce their own performance poetry and, as a class, will read a full length modern play.
